Every proper southern girl must have her game day outfits. LA is "lucky" enough to live in a house divided so she gets not one, but TWO game day wardrobes. Of course, the orange and navy looks much better on her :)
Baxter tried to claim the Auburn outfit for himself. I convinced him that he was much to "manly" to wear ruffles :)
The Auburn outfit is a pair of long pants with ruffles. I found a pair of pants that fit LA really well and drafted a pattern from them. Now I can custom fit them to her inseam and waist. Finally...pants that FIT!! The helmet was attached using heat-n-bond and then stitching around the edge to secure it.
The UGA outfit is a modified pillowcase dress turned romper. I actually began with the same pants pattern I used for the Auburn outfit. When I cut the fabric, I extended the center seam to go up to her collar bone (of course, adding enough fabric to turn the casing). Another modification I made was to add snaps to the inseam/crotch so that diaper changing would be easy.
